We want to announce the call for entries for a special edition of Omenana in partnership with the Goethe institut.
We are looking for 10 flash fiction stories between 500-1000 words that explore the future of West Africa and 10 artists willing to illustrate them. Stories should be centered around a West African city but can be set anywhere in a far future. Stories should be short but vivid enough to give artists something to work with.
Each contributor will get ten thousand naira (N10, 000). Stories will be paired with illustrations for a display at the African Future_Lagos exhibition in Lagos, which will take place 28th October – 1st November 2015.
The work will also be published in a special edition of Omenana at omenana.com.
Writers should submit their flash fiction to sevenhills.media@yahoo.com on or before September 18, 2015.
Interested illustrators should send a sample of their work to sevenhills.media@yahoo.com before September 18, 2015.
Chosen illustrators will be sent their stories by September 20 and illustrations will be due by September 30, 2015.
